SF Recruitment are supporting a leading Automotive company based in Coventry recruiting for an Indirect Buyer on a permanent, part time basis. Hours: Salary: Up too £49,000 pro rata. Working hours: 2-3 days per week, hours and days flexible to suit your commitments. The Role: - As the Indirect Buyer you have the overall responsibility and leadership for all purchasing activities and raising purchase orders ensuring the correct process is followed, to ensure smooth day to day running of the business. - Maintain current databases as well as working with the internal departments within the company. - Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets. - Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers. - Build, maintain and manage professional supplier relationships and keep up good communications. - Compile data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation to assess supplier performance. The Candidate: (Not essential) As the ideal candidate for the Indirect Buyer role, you will have the following: - Relevant education e,g, commercial, manufacturing/engineering degree, ONC, City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent. - 5 years' experience within a buying role. - Previous experience with working within an Automotive or Engineering environment along with Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or similar would be advantageous
