Hydraulic Engineer, up to £45,000 depending on experience, 42.5 hours per week, Portland We are looking for a Hydraulic engineer to join a specialist marine mechanical engineering company in Portland. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge and experience of the maintenance of hydraulic and pressure systems. As an experienced Hydraulic Engineer you will need to be versatile, adaptable & re-active with the ability to provide hand-on engineering when required, this role may require working away. As part of the engineering team you will need to be knowledgeable in all areas of engineering, including petrol & diesel engines, industrial engineering in addition to hydraulic systems, responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing pipes/ hoses. As a Hydraulic engineer your role will include, but not limited to: Providing Mobile Services, reactive to maintenance calls, attending sites to resolve hydraulic, hose or plant problems. Responsible for upkeep, calibration & safe use of hose production and pressure test equipment both on site and at MS works and resultant certification. Fault finding diagnosis and rectification. Day-to-day work: maintenance and repairs on a wide range of plant (vehicles and machines) Servicing and Testing of hydraulic components Working on hydraulic equipment, pumps, valves, filters etc. Dealing with customer queries, maintaining relations, a single point of contact for customers This is a great role for an experienced Hydraulic Engineer to join an expanding company and you will need to bring your experience of engineering environment with a level of competence suitably backed by qualification and/or historical evidence. You must have: Knowledge and experience of hydraulic powered machinery including pumps, manifolds, valves, pipework systems and controls.
