This position comes from an established OEM that designs and manufactures specialist vehicles for the global market. A leader in their sector with a large design and manufacturing presence here in the UK they have a number of opportunities open to join them due to their continued growth and ongoing investment in new vehicle development. Joining them as a Homologation Engineer on a contract basis you will support the existing team for 3-6 months and be responsible for compliance of vehicles to be sold into Europe OR North America (experience dependent). You work closely with organisations such as the VCA to ascertain legislative requirements and upcoming changes that will impact company vehicles before communicating these changes internally within the business to understand their potential impact. Your role will then include working closely with the R&D team to advise on product changes, generating homologation reports, writing type approval documentation and producing detailed technical reports that comply with legislative requirements. The company are seeking applications from engineers with 3-5 years+ experience in vehicle homologation / type approval or machinery directive / CE certification Skills they require include: * HNC/HND or degree educated engineer with experience in the automotive sector * Experience in vehicle homologation, whole vehicle type approval or CE & machinery directive approvals (product compliance, regulatory approval etc) * Experience creating and maintaining technical construction files * The ability to research and advise on upcoming legislation * Excellent attention to detail This client offers a great work environment and a flexible working policy with hybrid working allowing for up to 2 days a week to be worked from home
