NEW MOTOR TRADE ROLE HGV Technician – Gloucester Salary: £41,000 + bonus + benefits Currently looking for an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Technician for my Clients dealer in Gloucestershire. THIS IS A ROTATING SHIFT PATTERN! Monday to Friday. 1 in 2 Saturdays, overtime. 1-week early shift 6.00 – 2.30 and 1-week late shift 2.00 – 10.30. As an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Technician your job will be to repair and service commercial vehicles in accordance with manufacturer guidance and current industry standards, ensuring that you utilise the most time efficient, cost-effective and safe method of working. * Performing major and minor repairs to heavy goods vehicles, trailers and other vehicles * Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services such as tyre rotation and oil changes * Maintaining inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust * Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles * Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired or handled * Providing repair services to clients on the road in case of emergencies * Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims or escalating them to higher management The HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Technician will need to have: * Industry qualifications achieved to a minimum of Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or mechanical engineering (all modules completed) – Heavy Vehicle Qualification * Previous working experience as an HGV technician with a strong technical background * You are confident using technology To apply for this HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Technician role, please get in touch with Katy at YOLO Recruitment
