Job Role:  HGV Mechanic Contract Type:  Full time / Permanent Annual earnings:  Up to £48000 per year / £21.55 Per Hour  Location - Thatcham  Working as part of a small experienced HGV Mechanic team, you will carry out all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repairs on a large fleet of commercial vehicles and trailers. Key areas of responsibility for HGV Mechanic's will include:  Test vehicles, observe, recognise and report defects or symptoms of impending problems Service, adjust and repair vehicles or components Implement approved manufacturer’s modifications Manufacture or service component parts Recover defective or damaged vehicles Maintain and repair equipment used within transport operation Prepare vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections Prepare written reports regarding vehicle condition, accident damage or defects discovered Keep tools and equipment in a clean and working condition Maintain safety standards at all times and use protective equipment provided About you:  Essential Qualifications: Irtec qualified or NVQ / City & Guilds The successful HGV Mechanic will work an early / Late shift rotation with working hours being from 06:00 - 14:30 / 13:30 - 22:00, substantial overtime will be available for this that wish to increase their earnings. The basic hourly rate for this HGV Technician role will be £20.55 per hour, overtime will be paid at time and a half of basic hourly rate.
