Job Role:            HGV Technician Location:            West Bromwich Pay:                     £47,000 Basic Shift:                   4 on 4 off Contract:            Full time Permanent role HGV Technician opportunity My client, a well-established fleet maintenance company with depots across the UK is actively seeing to employ an experienced and qualified HGV Technician to be based out of a depot in the West Bromwich area to work on a full time permanent basis. HGV Technician duties To carry out the safe and efficient inspection, service and repair of all vehicles, trailers and ancillary equipment in line with agreed schedules and operating procedures   Ensuring repairs are carried out to meet or exceed the minimum standards as laid down by VOSA. Carry out duties in a manner consistent with established safety, environmental and maintenance procedures. Work with VMU shift Co-ordinator / FLM and Logistics team to ensure vehicle availability in accordance with delivery schedules. To achieve shift KPI’s by working in an efficient and effective manner. To ensure that vehicles other fleet assets are maintained in accordance with company and VOSA standards. Assist the VMU Co-ordinator / FLM to liaise with the Transport and Logistics departments about vehicle availability. HGV Technician qualifications required • In order to qualify for the role, the successful HGV Technician will have industry recognised qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds) or be time served on heavies • You must have detailed experience as an HGV Technician and be familiar with modern commercial vehicles.
