Our client is a well-known and reputable fleet company with many depots nationwide. Currently they are looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic to join their depot in Preston. Shifts: 1. Monday - Fri - Two start times and end times 6am 4pm or 8am - 6pm 2. Monday - Thursday. 6pm / 6am. 1 in 3 Sundays Time and Half Job role: * You will ensure the most efficient and highest possible standard of mechanical and electrical repair, preventative maintenance and modification of customer vehicles and related ancillary equipment * Responsibility for the safety of the working environment and all colleagues/persons within it * Work as part of a team to maintain and build employee and customer relations to ensure the workshop operation achieves its objectives and targets * Undertake comprehensive and preventative maintenance and repair standards * Correct fault diagnosis to ensure replacement parts are fitted correctly and warranty claims are in line with terms * Dealing professionally and proficiently with all enquiries and completing job cards and service sheets in a timely manner * Undertake diagnostic analysis where appropriate The Person: * Experience within a commercial dealer environment working on HGVs * Have practical understanding of using information technology and systems to deliver objectives * Safety conscious and committed to a right first-time ethos * Experience of working in a fast paced and demanding customer environment, with a flexible approach towards meeting the needs of the customer * Enthusiastic, with the ability to work on your own initiative, remaining focused and consistent and a ‘can do’ attitude * Good team worker, with the ability to get on with colleagues * Demonstrates commercial awareness and has a good understanding and experience of a busy workshop operating environment * HGV Class 1 license preferred but not essential or NVQ level 3 is essential Sapphire Vehicle Services can offer: * Pension scheme * Death in Service * 30 days holiday, bank holidays normal working day * Wellbeing program including Mental Health 1st Aid * Employee Assistance Helpline * Discounts & Shopping Vouchers * Uniform and PPE Benefits: * Company pension * On-site parking * Work from home This is an excellent opportunity for an HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic who is looking for a place where he can progress and get first class training. #hgvtechnician #hgvmechanic #hgvfitter
