HGV Mechanic Hours : 16.30 pm - Midnight Shift Pay: £20.00 - £25.00 per hour Full-time , Permanent *Level 3 qualified technicians required* Overview We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles. As an HGV Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet, contributing to the smooth operation of our logistics services. Duties * Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on heavy goods vehicles to identify faults and issues. * Perform repairs and maintenance on various components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. * Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out repairs and assembly tasks. * Maintain accurate records of work completed, including parts used and time taken for each job. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while working in the workshop environment. * Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems. * Assist in heavy lifting and moving of equipment as required during repair processes. Experience * Proven experience in equipment repair and maintenance of heavy goods vehicles is essential. * Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively. * Familiarity with welding techniques and soldering is advantageous. * Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Experience in performing heavy lifting tasks and operating machinery safely.
