GSE/HGV Technician – Glasgow (£39,000 rising to £41,440 after probabtion) CDM Recruitment are managing the recruitment process for an established organisation within the aviation and ground support equipment sector. We are looking for an experienced GSE/HGV Technician to join a busy workshop team in Glasgow. This is a hands-on role responsible for the repair, maintenance and inspection of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and associated vehicles. The Role * Carry out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on GSE, LGV and HGV vehicles. * Diagnose mechanical faults and complete inspections, brake tests and smoke tests. * Accurately complete job cards and maintenance documentation. * Identify additional work and parts requirements and communicate these to the Workshop Supervisor. * Ensure all work is completed safely and to required quality standards. * Work independently both indoors and outdoors when required. * Participate in an out-of-hours/on-call rota. Working Hours Monday to Friday, working either: * 06:00–14:30 * 08:00–16:30 Plus an on-call rota of approximately 1 week in 4, including weekend cover. About You * Proven experience in vehicle maintenance, ideally within GSE, LGV or HGV environments. * Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills. * Level 3 Motor Mechanics qualification (LGV) – essential. * LGV/HGV Class 3 licence – essential. * Electrical and hydraulic experience would be advantageous. * Strong understanding of health & safety within a workshop environment. * Reliable, self-motivated and able to work effectively under pressure. * Good communication and teamwork skills.
