HGV Technician Location: Waterloo Salary: £21.48p/h + Overtime £23.98 Hours: 39 hours per week We’re currently looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join a busy engineering team in Waterloo. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of buses and coaches, ensuring they remain safe, reliable and ready for daily service. This is a fantastic opportunity for an HGV Mechanic or Technician looking to apply their heavy vehicle skills within the passenger transport sector. The Role of the HGV Technician As an HGV Technician, you’ll be working primarily on buses and coaches, carrying out maintenance and repair work to keep the fleet operating safely and efficiently. Key responsibilities of the HGV Technician will include: Servicing, maintaining and repairing bus and coach vehicles Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults Carrying out safety inspections and defect repairs Preparing vehicles for DVSA inspections and MOT testing Ensuring all work meets industry safety and compliance standards Working closely with the workshop team to maintain fleet availability What you need as HGV Technician Experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, PSV Technician or Heavy Vehicle Engineer Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent experience) Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills Knowledge of vehicle safety inspections and maintenance standards A positive attitude and strong team ethicWhy Apply?
