HGV Technician needed Oxford Our client, a privately owned group dealing with transport, trailer manufacturing, vehicle and construction equipment sales and supportive services to the road transport industry, is seeking for a HGV Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques. Role: HGV technician Hours: Early/ Lates shift pattern ;Week 1: 7:30- 16:00 /Week 2: 13:30-22:00 Location: Oxford Key Responsibility: * You'll be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques. * You'll work independently to maintain and repair DAF vehicles and components. * You'll carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.). * You'll provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians. * You'll carry out final checks on work that has been completed. Requirements: * A completed secondary vocational education. * A broad vehicle-related technical knowledge, preferably of DAF products. * An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles. * Familiarization with developments in the automotive industry. * required to provide your own tool-kit * possession of a valid driving licence (preferably HGV but not essential). #hgvtechnician #hgvmechanic #truckmechanic #truckfitter
