This is a permanent opportunity ideal for experienced motor trade professionals seeking a night shift role within a reputable organisation. Benefits: * Competitive salary of up to £52,000 per annum plus overtime opportunities * Permanent night shift pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off, 19:00 – 07:00 * Up to 33 days holiday including bank holidays (pro-rata) * Annual pay reviews with average increases of 3% * Company pension scheme with 10% employer contributions and life assurance * Free onsite parking * Staff discounts across a wide range of retail partners Duties: * Maintain and repair a fleet of trucks, primarily older vehicles, with an emphasis on diagnostics and compliance * Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults * Conduct scheduled inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing * Ensure vehicle availability meets operational delivery schedules * Promote and uphold health and safety standards within the workshop * Maintain a clean, organised, and audit-ready workspace * Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Vehicle Maintenance Unit (VMU) * Perform various VMU tasks flexibly as required Requirements: * Proven experience in LGV fleet maintenance within a commercial environment * City & Guilds LGV qualifications or equivalent in LGV Vehicle Crafts * Strong organisational and teamwork skills * Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement * An LGV C+E licence is desirable but not essential If you are a skilled HGV Technician seeking a secure nightshift role in Stockport, we encourage you to explore this opportunity.
