An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Level 3 Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join the team of our well-established client. Questech Automotive are currently looking for an experienced HGV Vehicle Technician to join a well-established company. Location: Crawley , West Sussex Hours: Monday to Friday – Day Shifts 40 hours per week + extra hours available if required. Pay: You will earn an hourly rate of between to - £29.00 per hour depending on shift and experience. – Weekly Payroll. *Immediate Starts Available* This is an on-going position with no end date!, you can be paid PAYE or UMBRELLA to suit your needs. ```Duties``` - Perform maintenance and repairs on Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) and their components - Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues - Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles - Follow schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals to identify and resolve problems - Conduct regular inspections to ensure vehicles are following safety regulations - Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for each repair or maintenance task - Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering questions ```Skills``` * Level 3 Qualification Required * - Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for equipment repair - Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for maintenance and repairs - Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals - Knowledge of electrical systems in HGVs is preferred - Experience operating a forklift or similar equipment is a plus - Ability to dig into complex problems and find effective solutions - Basic soldering skills for electrical connections are a bonus - Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients This position requires a high level of technical expertise in HGV maintenance and repair. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical background, be skilled in using hand tools, have knowledge of electrical systems, and possess the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
