We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our busy and friendly client on a long-term basis in Ilford, Greater London. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a skilled technician with strong technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving abilities. Key Responsibilities * Carry out routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes and filter replacements * Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently and accurately * Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential issues * Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot faults * Order parts and materials required for repairs * Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work * Adhere to health & safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workshop Required Skills * Strong mechanical aptitude with proven diagnostic and repair skills * Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment * Solid knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems * Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines * Ability to work autonomously and use initiative when required Experience & Qualifications * City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification OR time served experience What’s on Offer * Competitive hourly pay rate of £30.00 per hour * Overtime (Saturdays) paid at £40.00 per hour * Monday to Friday - 7.00am to 4.00pm * Long-term with the potential to secure permanent employment * Supportive and professional working environment This is an excellent opportunity to join a fantastic company and progress your career as an HGV Technician
