HGV Technician (Nights) - Coalville, Leicester Hours: Full-Time | Nights – Monday to Thursday, 18:00 to 06:00 Pay: £25 per hour About the Client Our client is a well-established, family-run logistics business with over 20 years of industry experience. Based in Coalville, Leicester, they operate a substantial and modern fleet comprising over 60 tractor units, 160+ trailers, and rigid vehicles. With a strong reputation for reliability and service, they also maintain their own fleet through a dedicated in-house servicing team. They are now looking to expand their team with a skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join their night shift operation. Role Overview This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician to join a close-knit and supportive team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles to a high standard, both in the workshop and occasionally on-site at local customer locations. Key Responsibilities * Perform all aspects of commercial vehicle maintenance and repairs * Conduct on-site servicing and repairs using a service van when required * Use technical knowledge and initiative to diagnose and resolve issues * Complete all documentation accurately using Blue Crystal * Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures * Carry out PMI inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT * Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism Candidate Requirements * Recognised qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2/3, IRTEC, or equivalent experience * Proven experience in HGV maintenance and repair * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong understanding of vehicle safety inspections and compliance * HGV Category C or C+E licence (advantageous) * Experience with double deck trailers and tail lifts (desirable but not essential) Benefits * £25 per hour + Bonus Scheme (based on business performance) * Company pension * Free on-site parking * Free gym membership * Company events * Birthday day off * 20 days holiday + bank holidays
