Job Role: HGV Technician Location: Bournemouth, Dorset Contract Type: Full time / Permanent role Working hours / days: 07:00 - 16:30 Monday - Friday Annual Salary: £43,000 - £45,000 depending on experience Job description: Are you an experienced HGV Technician? My client is a well-established workshop facility that specialises in heavy commercial vehicle maintenance. At this time, they have an opening for an HGV Technician to join them to work on a Monday – Friday DAY SHIFT. You will be responsible for the ongoing inspection, service, maintenance and repair on a wide range of commercial vehicles ranging from 7.5t trucks to tractor unit and everything in between. A significant part of this role will be preparing the vehicles presented to you for their MOT inspections. Daily duties: * Inspection, Service and repair on a mixed fleet of Trucks * MOT inspection and preparation of the fleet. MOT presentation and road testing if you have a heavy vehicle licence * Ensure that the care and condition of all Company equipment is maintained and report all defects/damages * Maintain a recording monitoring system to comply with legal and company requirements * Promote safe working practices and ensure that site Health & Safety standards comply with Company Policy Working Hours / Rates: This role is available on a straight Monday – Friday DAY SHIFT 07:00 - 16:30 with half an hour unpaid lunch break Basic salary of £43,000 - £45,000 with overtime available paid at £28.84 per hour.
