Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an HGV Technician at BARRY IVES (HAULAGE) LIMITED located on-site in Sible Hedingham. Key Responsibilities as a HGV Technician Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs * Perform routine maintenance and servicing of both the company and customer fleets * Conduct diagnostic assessments and troubleshoot vehicle issues * Prepare vehicles for MOT tests, ensuring compliance with legal standards * Carry out running repairs to ensure the fleet remains operational Additional Duties * Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within set timeframes * Maintain a safe and tidy working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations * Perform other workshop-related tasks as directed Qualifications * Previous Experience as HGV Technician/Mechanic * Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle faults effectively * Possess Troubleshooting skills * Must be able to work on Saturday mornings (paid as overtime) Team Collaboration and Reporting * Ability to collaborate with team members as needed to complete tasks * Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision * Report directly to the Workshop Manager regarding job progress and any issues identified Working Hours * Monday to Friday: 8.00am - 5.00pm (40 hours per week) * Saturday mornings: Required (overtime paid at time and a half) * No shift work is involved Compensation/Benefits * Competitive salary (negotiable depending on experience) * Overtime paid at time and a half * Benefits: Company Pension Scheme, BUPA Private Health Insurance, On-Site Parking Applications: If this role is a good fit for you, please submit your CV with a brief covering letter detailing your experience and why you are interested in joining the team.
