Malary Ltd are a leading Waste Management and Recycling Company, we have an immediate vacancy for a Vehicle HGV Mechanic/HGV Technician. We are a small family run company specialising in the waste industry. Class 1 or 2 experience is desirable but not essential. The role is contracted at 45 hours a week on day shift. Uniform is provided & onsite parking. Primary Responsibilities * Liaise with all managers to maintain vehicles and related equipment to meet required standards * Carry out all in-house vehicle maintenance activities, in readiness for MoTs and servicing * Liaise with 3rd parties regarding any external maintenance requirements * Ensure compliance with respect to health & safety, defects and new misses * Ensure workshop housekeeping standards are kept maintained * Control relevant stocks and communicate stock movements, as required * Support the maintenance team with activities as business priorities determine * Other ad hoc duties around the site Qualifications & Training * C or C+E license preferred but not essential * Light and Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair experience Experience * Vehicle maintenance * HGV driving experience (preferable) * Light and Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Competence Diploma (or equivalent qualification) Qualities and Behaviours * Good verbal communication skills * Strong safety conscience * Delivery focused * Able to demonstrate organisational skills * Own Tools required Job Type: Permanent Salary: £15.00-£22.00 per hour Expected hours: 45 per week Benefits: * Company pension * On-site parking * Referral programme Schedule: * Day shift Licence/Certification: * HGV mechanic diploma or equivalent (required) Work Location: In person
