HGV Mechanic needed Stoke on Trent Our client, a commercial vehicle fleet management company, is seeking for a HGV Mechanic to join their team. The ideal candidate will be ensuring quality diagnostics and repairs according to repair order as well as ensuring work is quality assured and in accordance with standards and literature. Role: HGV Mechanic Hours: * Day shift 4 on 4 off 06.00 - 18.00 * Night shift 4 on 4 off 18.00 - 06.00 Location: Stoke on Trent Key responsibilities: * Working as part of a team to maintain and build employee and customer relations to ensure the workshop operation achieved its objectives and targets * Maintaining working capacity of machines and tools * Striving to achieve Rectification Ratio – Zero (right first time) * Work closely with the VMU manager and communicate the number of parts and labour needed for additional repairs * Record and report time spent on repair and maintenance * Assure a clean and safe workshop at all times Requirements: * City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualification is essential * Experience within a fleet or commercial environment working on HGVs * Practical understanding of using information technology and systems to deliver objectives * Safety awareness and be committed to a right first-time ethos * A flexible and can-do attitude with the ability to work in a team environment and on your own initiative * HGV Class 1 Driving licence is preferred * Experience with Tail lifts is desirable Benefits: * Company pension * Free parking * On-site parking #hgvtechnician #hgvmechanic #hgvfitter #truckmechanic #truckfitter #trucktechnician
