We’re seeking 1-2 HGV Mechanics who are either experienced in heavy vehicle maintenance or are eager to gain hands-on experience and learn. For candidates with limited experience, Our client is prepared to invest in training tailored to our trucks, helping you gain the skills needed to thrive in this role. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on HGVs (Heavy Goods Vehicles) * Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles * Perform inspections and prepare HGVs for MOTs and annual testing * Keep accurate records of repairs, parts, and services provided * Collaborate with team members to ensure vehicles are in top operational condition * Stay up-to-date with relevant industry practices and safety standards Qualifications: * Experience in HGV mechanics is preferred but not essential for applicants willing to learn * NVQ Level 3 in HGV Mechanics or equivalent (preferred but not required) * Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems for heavy vehicles * Willingness to undergo additional training as required for fleet Skills and Attributes: * Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team * Good communication skills and a positive attitude * A commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards What We Offer: * Competitive hourly rate between £15.00 and £20.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications) * Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development * Supportive team environment and hands-on experience * A chance to work with an established company with high standards of vehicle maintenance
