HGV Mechanic Location: Wigan Depot, WN3 6PJ Salary: Starting at £16 per hour, DOE + Overtime rates! Contract: Full-time, permanent Hours: 50 hours per week - Monday-Friday We are D Cain & Son Ltd! The company is now very proudly run by the family along with a strong team of over 35 employees from HGV drivers, slingers, maintenance team and office staff. HGV Mechanic - The Role We are looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to Inspect, Repair and MOT Prep our own fleet of trucks and trailers! We run a variety of Scania Volvo and Daf trucks (The trailers we run are a variety of Flat Draw Bar Trailers and Flat Bed Arctic Trailers) therefore previous experience in these vehicles is welcomed. The candidate must also be familiar with diagnostics machines (Jaltest,Texa) as well as have a good can do attitude and be willing to work with others. We have a 3Bay workshop with pits in each bay and our own Brake Test Machine. HGV Mechanic - What we need from you Skills and Experience; • UK Driver’s License (Ideally Class 1 HGV) • Level 3 Qualified or Equivalent HGV Mechanic. • Previous experience with Inspection, Repair, MOT Prep and HGV maintenance. • Previous experience with Diagnostic Machines such as Jaltest or Texa.
