Premier Recruitment Group is working on behalf of prestigious client who is looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic in Takeley, Essex who needs to have both a good depth and breadth of knowledge of heavy motor vehicles and, preferably, will hold at least a Level 3 City & Guilds qualification or equivalent. They will be part of a small but enthusiastic, friendly, and growing team of mechanics with a focus offering excellent customer service.This is full time and permanent position. With the nature of the work involved, sound training and support will be given. To perform vehicle maintenance or trouble shoot defects and carry out repairs as necessary. To perform servicing and MOT preparation Carry out occasional breakdowns using company service vans. Strong experience that has both breadth and depth of knowledge of trucks, trailers, engines, gearboxes, axles, hydraulic systems, electrical diagnosis and be able to use diagnostic equipment. Produce details of job on a job card, service sheet and daily time log Communicate with supervisory staff regularly to keep them updated on the progress of your job Be aware and responsible for Health & Safety of yourself and other employees. Shift pattern: Monday - Friday 8am-5pmAdditional items: Welding experience preferred but not essential. Full UK Driving Licence CE LGV Licence preferred but not essential.
