Red Sky Personnel is looking for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client, based at Birmingham Airport on a permanent basis. Responsibilities HGV Drivers are responsible for delivering goods to various airport locations, supporting the delivery schedule as required, and ensuring that delivery time KPIs are met. You will also assist with loading and sorting deliveries leaving the distribution centre and assembling deliveries for dispatch to stores in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner. Your responsibilities will include: Driving and delivering goods to various airport locations Using scanner equipment (hand-held scanners) to consolidate and mark up stock Consolidating cages and pallets with the use of pump trucks Loading and unloading vehicles using a scissor lift Performing general housekeeping and dispatch duties Shift Pattern You will work a 12-hour shift on a 4 on, 4 off basis. Start times will be between 06:00 and 18:00. Experience within a busy logistical environment and manual handling would be beneficial. Excellent communication skills and a strong team spirit are essential! Candidates must be hardworking and reliable, demonstrating an excellent work ethic. You must have no unspent criminal convictions. If you are successful in the interview, you will be required to apply for a Criminal Record Check. Requirements Due to this role being within a warehouse that supplies UK Airports, you must qualify. Therefore, you will need to provide the following information: A 5-year checkable history (employment, self-employment, education, or benefit claim) Eligibility to work in the UK (UK Passport, EU Passport, Non-EU Passport & Visa, Biometric Residence Permit, or UK Birth Certificate for British citizens) Proof of National Insurance Proof of address dated within the last 3 months (utility bill, bank statement, or HMRC letter)
