Health and Safety Advisor Job ID: 32490 Nottingham £30-£38k Manufacturing industry Our client are a leading employer with a fantastic reputation and cutting edge manufacturing site. They are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to lead Health and Safety projects setting the direction to ensure compliance and demonstrating best practice to make the business a safe environment for all employees to work in. Duties and Responsibilities: * Defining, evaluating and driving performance of key safety metrics * Redesigning processes in order to achieve sustainable solutions * Delivering formal and informal training programmes to continually improve the companies Safety performance * Leading or otherwise supporting company improvement activities * Important role in assisting the auditing and sustainment of our ISO45001 Health & Safety Management System * To review and upgrade Risk and COSHH assessments, while tracking and closing out all actions in a timely manner * To produce and update HS&E procedures in line with business requirements and changes in legislation. * To carry out incident / accident investigations, whilst implementing changes to ensure Health and Safety issues are rectified * To support and drive problem solving closeout * To continuously develop and sustain a safe working culture Key Competencies: * Excellent communication skills, confident in liaising with colleagues to promote team working and to ensure a smooth flow of work * Work effectively as part of a team and build effective working relationships at all levels of the business * Ideal candidates must hold a NEBOSH general qualification * Previous experience in a similar Health and Safety role, ideally within aerospace industry * Proven experience managing complex projects and proactively resolve issues * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint) * Previous accountability for quality documents; including the creation, review and approval * Auditing experience * Knowledge and experience working with ISO45001, ISO14001 Health and Safety Advisor or HSE Advisor Embracing diversity in all its forms, our client is an equal opportunity employer.
