We're Hiring: GSE Mechanics - Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam (1-Year Freelance Contract) | Excellent Hourly Rates Available Are you an experienced freelance Mechanic with a background in HGV, bus, truck, or heavy vehicle maintenance? Ready to take your skills into the fast-paced aviation sector? We're supporting a leading international Ground Support Equipment (GSE) provider at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, and are looking for skilled mechanics to join the team on a 1-year freelance/contractor basis. The Role Includes: Maintenance and repair of diesel-powered GSE (baggage loaders, tow tractors, stair trucks) Diagnostics and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Servicing of electric airport vehicles including airside buses Reading and interpreting technical diagrams and electrical schematics Supporting breakdowns and delivering scheduled/preventative maintenance onsite Contract Details: 1-year freelance/contractor role Excellent hourly rates available GSE experience is advantageous and will warrant a higher pay rate 38-hour working week (typically 40 hours) Overtime available (subject to airport security clearance) Relocation support within the EU may be considered Ideal Background: Strong mechanical experience with HGVs, buses, plant, or heavy-duty vehicles Competent in hydraulic systems and technical schematics Proactive, hands-on, and safety-focused Previous GSE or aviation maintenance experience is highly valued and rewarded accordingly Requirements: EU passport is essential (non-EU passports cannot be considered) Full EU driving licence Good level of English (spoken and written) Based in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam Immediate or short-notice availability preferred Start Date: ASAP If you're ready to bring your mechanical expertise into one of Europe's busiest airports, we'd love to hear from you
