Ground Support Equipment  Design & Development Engineer – Civil Aero Engines- China. Our Aerospace client based in Shanghai, China, are looking to appoint a Ground Support Equipment  Design & Development Engineer to be engaged on their Civil Aero Engines programs in Shanghai.  This will be a long term role. Fixed term contracts will be offered to the successful candidate. Job Description: The GSE Design & Development Engineer will lead the technical research, development, and implementation of Ground Support Equipment for civil aero engine programs. This includes feasibility analysis, mechanical design, supplier management, and equipment certification. Key Responsibilities: Conduct research and promote application of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) technologies. Develop and refine standards, instructions, processes, and tools related to GSE design and implementation. Perform feasibility studies, technical planning, and cost analysis of GSE projects for engine products. Design GSE components and systems, including material selection and CAD drawing. Participate in prototyping, commissioning, testing, and certification of GSE products. Oversee supplier selection and technical verification for GSE sourcing and implementation.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Automation, or related fields. Over 5 years’ experience in mechanical design, including at least 1 year in tool/equipment design. Aerospace tool or GSE development experience is preferred. Solid understanding of mechanical principles, including stress, strength, and dynamic analysis. Proficient in 3D design tools such as CATIA or UG/NX. Experience in full-cycle development of tooling or equipment projects is an advantage.Preferred Background: Candidates from tool and equipment support departments of major aero engine OEMs or engine factories. Must have a background in tool/equipment development or aerospace GSE design.Candidates who are willing to live and work in Shanghai, China for 1 -3 years initial contract are invited to apply
