As in-house recruiters for a large multinational organization, DENSO Marston based in Shipley, West Yorkshire, we are looking for a Graudate Total Industrial Engineer.  The Graduate Total Industrial Engineer role is an exciting and varied position, where you can make a real impact upon how our manufacturing plan operates moving forward.  Working in a busy manufacturing environment, candidates should have an awareness of manufacturing techniques such as, line balancing, process flow /mapping, process control, kaizen and kanban systems alongside method studies. Key Responsibilities Standard Work Rate Setting / Time & Motion Studies Identifying key improvements through Product & Process Flow, Value Stream Mapping, Data analysis and evaluation Manufacturing Floor Layouts Promoting of lean practices and principals. Project Management of key manufacturing and logistics improvements  Essential Experience Experience of Total Improvement within the automotive Tier 1 or FMCG environment. In particular have proven experience in: DFMA/FMEA /Statistical Process Control methodologies and their application. Cell layout, manufacturing process and work station design. Materials flows, Kanban system and pull systems. Project management of NPI processes and activities LEAN methodology, PDCA, SPC, Kaizen, SMED, 5S and standard work rate setting.Also able to demonstrate: Ability to build comprehensive SOPs and work instructions. Experienced Project Manager, with proven ability delivering to deadlines and utilisation of Project Management tools and techniques You will have previously worked in a fast – moving production environment, have a good level of safety awareness and good IT skills. Other skills needed include: the ability to conduct time and motion studies  identify and map product and process flows through a company translating data in to space plans and floor layouts. You will have a proven ability to motivate, develop and coach teams.  You will be equipped to assess the main issue quickly, identifying potential improvements and engage people. Working as part of a team you will be required to support and contribute towards the drive for continuous improvement and support departmental improvements initiatives encompassing People; Safety; Quality; Service & Cost.Specialist Knowledge/Qualification You should hold an Engineering Degree in a related field. It would be beneficial to have an understanding of computerised planning and scheduling techniques associated with modern manufacturing (Excel and MRP) as is the ability to analyse data in a logical way.   Working hours: Mon - Thurs 8:30 - 5:00  Fri               8:30 - 1:30 Flexi-time of 30 minutes at either side of the core hours is available Mon - Thurs Excellent pension scheme and generous company benefits, plus free on-site parking
