The Staffing Network is looking for dedicated and hardworking individuals to join the team as General Operatives. Job Purpose: The General Operative role involves working in both disassembly, assembly, and supply chain support areas of the business. The purpose is to ensure the delivery of high-quality products to our customers, with a focus on meeting and exceeding set targets. Key Responsibilities: Production Duties: * Perform repetitive bench or line disassembly, renewal, and/or assembly operations on various steering systems (Manual Steering Racks, Power Steering Racks, Power Steering Pumps, Electric Steering Racks). * Follow Standard Work documents, Bills of Material, and other provided instructions to complete assigned tasks. * Use hand tools (drills, spanners, air tools) to disassemble and/or assemble parts, ensuring proper fastening and functionality. * Operate machines for disassembly, washing, or testing as part of the assembly line. * Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company and quality policies. * Share knowledge and best practices, training new starters where required. Supply Chain Duties: * Accurately pick products from designated locations using provided picking lists. * Maintain inventory counts and escalate any stock issues to your Supervisor or Team Leader. * Ensure that all picked or packed items are clearly identifiable and meet the required quality standards. * Handle goods with care, ensuring they are placed in the correct storage locations. * Perform inventory counting in line with stock-checking procedures. * Adhere to safety policies and procedures if trained on JLG or FLT/Picker, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. * Achieve or exceed daily targets set by the Team Leader/Supervisor. * Share knowledge and assist with the training of new team members. Qualifications & Experience: * Good general education, including proficiency in Maths and English. * Clear communication skills (both written and spoken) in English. * Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or assembly environments is desirable but not essential. * Proficient in using hand tools, including drills, spanners, and air tools. * FLT/Picker license is desirable but not essential. * Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
