Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician to join Barnsley Council’s Fleet Service on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Key Duties: * To inspect, repair and maintain the municipal fleet assets operated by the Council to the standard required by the relevant statutory and regulatory bodies * To provide professional advice and guidance to the service users on municipal vehicle maintenance and repair. * To carry out manual and physically demanding work associated with the repair and maintenance of a municipal fleet Requirements: * Level 3 Motor Vehicle Qualification * Considerable experience in one or more of the following; Inspection & audit processes, municipal fleet maintenance and repair, general fabrication or use of complex diagnosis equipment.
