Job Title: Fleet Scheduling Co-Ordinator * Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience) * Type: Permanent * Location: UK (can be based anywhere in the UK) We are looking for a Fleet Scheduling Co-Ordinator to join our client one of the UK’s largest bus operators. You will be joining one of the largest bus operators in the UK who are well known for its professional services and high standards. As Fleet Scheduling Co-Ordinator your primary responsibility will be to efficiently manage and coordinate the delivery schedules of our fleet to various operating companies. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our fleet operations are optimised, refurbishments are planned effectively, and new contracts are seamlessly integrated into our existing fleet. Fleet Scheduling Co-Ordinator Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Fleet Delivery Schedules: * Understand and assess fleet requirements across the Group for new contracts. * Develop and maintain comprehensive fleet delivery schedules, ensuring the timely delivery of buses to operating companies. * Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to streamline the process and minimise delays. * Plan and recommend fleet cascades between operating companies. Refurbishments and disposals: * Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and coordinate refurbishments of existing buses. * Monitor and track the progress of refurbishment projects, ensuring they are completed within agreed timelines and budgets. * Manage fleet disposals ensuring that income is optimised Fleet Age Management: * Monitor and analyse the age profile of the fleet, identifying opportunities for fleet optimisation and replacement. * Collaborate with the procurement team to plan and execute fleet renewal strategies, ensuring an optimal balance between fleet age and operational efficiency. Innovations from Bus Manufacturers: * Stay informed about the latest innovations and technological advancements in the bus manufacturing industry. * Evaluate the feasibility and potential benefits of adopting new technologies and features in our fleet. Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to explore partnership opportunities. Fleet Scheduling Co-Ordinator Requirements: * Previous experience in fleet management or scheduling coordination is highly desirable. Familiarity with the bus industry and its operational challenges will be an advantage. * Strong organizational and time management skills are essential to effectively manage multiple delivery schedules and refurbishment projects simultaneously. * Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on fleet performance metrics, age profiles, and operational requirements. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with internal stakeholders, bus manufacturers, and suppliers. Ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner. * Proactive problem-solving skills to identify and address operational challenges, optimize fleet utilization, and find innovative solutions to improve efficiency. * Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate scheduling, monitoring of refurbishments, and adherence to contract requirements. * Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle unexpected situations in a fast-paced environment. * Proficiency in using scheduling software, fleet management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
