Join our client, a leading organisation in the police industry, in their mission to provide operational policing support and keep our communities safe. They are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fleet Assistant to join their dynamic team on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting front line units and ensuring the smooth operations of vehicle repairs and maintenance. The working hours will be Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm. As a Fleet Assistant, you will play a crucial role in liaising between our client's workshop and front line units, ensuring that all vehicle repairs and maintenance are carried out efficiently. You will work closely with operational teams, workshops, and third-party providers to coordinate the booking and delivery of vehicles for maintenance and repair. In addition, you will build strong relationships with operational policing colleagues, guiding them on the necessary vehicle checks to ensure their safe usage. What you'll be doing: Coordinating vehicle repairs and maintenance, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner Liaising with operational teams, workshops, and third-party providers to book and deliver vehicles for maintenance/repair Building relationships with operational policing colleagues, providing guidance on vehicle checks Acting as an escalation point for any issues identified by vehicle users What we're looking for: Strong organisational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues at all levels Attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures would be advantageous Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing demands This is a fantastic opportunity to join our client's highly skilled team and make a real difference to operational policing support.
