Role: Mechanical Fitter Location: Warrington Hours: 37 hours per week | Monday to Thursday (06:00 – 15:30) Hourly Rate: £16.66 – £19.10 per hour (DOE) We are currently recruiting for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Warrington. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for assembling and installing mechanical components and systems, working with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment to ensure high-quality production standards are met. Key Responsibilities: * Assemble and install mechanical components to engineering specifications * Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems * Read and interpret engineering drawings * Maintain high standards of quality and health & safety * Work collaboratively to meet production targets * Ensure good housekeeping within the work area * Use internal production systems as required * Remain flexible to support different departments when needed Ideal Candidate: * Previous experience in a Mechanical Fitter, Assembly Operative, or similar role * Experience working within a production/manufacturing environment * Knowledge of hydraulic fitting and mechanical assembly * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills * Basic computer skills and experience using production systems * Flexible, reliable, and a team player * Comfortable working in confined spaces and undertaking manual handling tasks * Relevant qualifications in mechanical fitting or hydraulics/pneumatics would be advantageous
