Financial Controller £65-75k depending on experience Chelmsford, Essex Permanent/Full Time Working Hours: Monday to Friday (9am – 5.30pm) Our client, located in the Chelmsford area of Essex, is looking for an experienced and dynamic Financial Controller who wants to join their business and progress into a Finance Directors role. This role would be ideal for a hands-on Financial Controller, who is not able to progress within their current role and want room to grow their career. Duties & Responsibilities of a Financial Controller: * Managing a team of 3 direct reports within the accounts department. * Assist in the growth of the company. * Preparing and completing monthly management accounts. * Manage key relationships (both internal and external) for the organisation. * Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cashflow forecasts to support financial planning. * Preparing end-of-year accounts and assisting with the audit process as required. * Working closely with the Director to advise on financial affairs. * Managing and overseeing the sales and purchase ledger. * Accurate data reporting to management. * Devising, developing and delivering strategies. * Providing accurate financial reporting. * Mitigate threats and maximise returns. * Identify any opportunities and lead negotiations. Your Background & Skill: * Proven experience as a Financial Controller. * Fully Qualified (CIMA / ACCA) is desirable. * Desire to progress your career as the company grows. * Excellent analytical skills. * Strong communication skills and ability to work well on own and in a team. * Ability to manage relationships, internally and externally. * Ability to work well under pressure.
