Financial Controller Location: Basildon, Essex Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 (Depending on Experience) Industry: Automotive We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our dynamic team in Basildon. Key Duties: " Execute thorough bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness. " Process customer debit notes, conducting root-cause analysis for effective issue resolution. " Prepare comprehensive management accounts to support strategic decision-making. " Manage the preparation and submission of VAT returns. " Raise supplier debit notes, providing root-cause analysis for resolution. " Oversee ID reconciliation, including daily uploads and SDB reconciliation. " Supervise a team of three and provide necessary training. " Review unallocated cash, working closely with the Accounts Assistant. " Review the Goods Received Note (GRN) report, resolving any associated queries. " Review unposted invoices for accuracy and completeness. " Chair customer meetings in collaboration with the Credit Controller. " Act as an escalation contact for supplier, customer, and colleague queries. " Aid the Finance Director as required. Skills/Qualifications: " ACCA/CIMA qualification. " Experience in team supervision is preferable. " Proficiency in using complex formulas in Excel and other Microsoft Office products. " Background in a similar manufacturing role is advantageous. " Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and reliability. " Proactive and innovative mind-set. " Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a positive attitude. " Effective workload prioritization in time-constrained and pressured environments.
