Field Service Technician (HGV Mechanic Team) Questech Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established business for an experienced Field Service Technician.. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy operation carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a fleet of HGVs and trailers across multiple company sites. Working from a fully equipped service vehicle, you'll support planned maintenance and breakdown response, helping to maximise fleet availability and minimise downtime. Location * Newark (NG23 area) Pay & Hours * £22.50 per hour * Monday to Friday * 6:00am – 4:00pm * Overtime available at enhanced rates * Permanent position The Role * Carry out planned servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers * Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults * Attend breakdowns and provide roadside/on-site support * Complete preventative maintenance and vehicle inspections * Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure compliance with DVSA standards * Complete maintenance paperwork accurately * Work safely and efficiently while managing your own workload The Candidate * NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) * Previous experience maintaining and repairing HGVs and trailers * Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding skills * Able to work independently in a field-based role * Good attention to detail and commitment to safety * Full UK Driving Licence If you're an experienced HGV Technician looking for a field-based role with a stable employer, we'd like to hear from you.
