Field Service Engineer – South East Region (Home Counties, Essex, Hertfordshire & Suffolk) Competitive Rates + O/T + Door to Door Pay + Company Van + Holidays + Pension Dawsongroup | emc is a part of the Dawsongroup, is the UK’s leading supplier of self-drive Municipal, industrial and specialist vehicles for contract hire. This exciting opportunity will focus on the servicing, maintenance and repairing of a full range of specialist municipal vehicles including Gully Tankers, Refuse Vehicles Tippers/Tipper grabs and Road sweepers. This Field Service Engineer role gives you the opportunity to work across the South East Region, paid door to door. If you have a background in plant, specialist vehicle or HGVs then this role may suit you. Standard hours are normally 40-45 hours (Mon-Fri) with flexibility around start & finish times, anything over this is paid at an enhanced rate. About the role: As a Field Service Engineer you will be working on a full range of sweeper machines, refuse vehicles and gully tankers. You will be responsible for but not limited to: * Fault diagnosis, repair and routine maintenance of specialist vehicles and other company equipment. * Ensuring all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer, and industry guidelines. * Keeping up to date with administrative responsibilities ensuring that all routine maintenance or repair work is subject of an accurate and timely written report. * Evaluating, modifying, and preparing machines for hire at Dawsongroup emc depots and customers locations. * First Line Repair, Fault Reporting for second line repairs and providing technical advice to third party engineers where required. About you: * A City and Guilds/ONC level 3 qualification or equivalent (Mechanical and or Electrical) * Previous experience working as a Field Service Engineer / Vehicle Technician or (Commercial and/or Specialist Vehicles / Plant/ Industrial/ HGV / ) * Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical circuits or sweeper vehicles. * Have a great level of communication skills and customer service with the ability to demonstrate the values and ethics of Dawsongroup * Have a flexible and adaptable approach to your role and be able to work well on your own initiative with minimum supervision * HGV trained and LGC Class C Licence would be advantageous, but not essential * Hold a Full, Clean UK driving licence What we offer: * Door to Door rates * Optional Overtime * Company Vehicle * Control/Service Centre job bookings * Very limited 'out of patch' work * No weekends / call outs * 32 days leave + Celebration Day * Plus Loads more!
