Engineering Supervisor   Location: Glasgow Salary: £49,170 Hours: 38 hours per week (Nightshift)   The Role for the Engineering Supervisor We are recruiting for an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join a major UK bus operator at their depot in Glasgow This is a key nightshift leadership role, responsible for overseeing workshop operations, ensuring all vehicles are maintained, repaired, and ready for service, and leading a team of engineers to deliver high standards of safety, reliability, and performance.   Key Responsibilities of the Engineering Supervisor Supervise and lead a team of PSV/HGV Technicians on nightshift Ensure all maintenance and repairs are completed to DVSA and company standards Plan and prioritise workloads to meet operational requirements and service deadlines Support the team with technical guidance and fault diagnosis Oversee defect rectification, servicing, and MOT preparation Maintain high standards of health & safety and workshop compliance Ensure accurate completion of job cards, maintenance records, and compliance paperwork Liaise with management to ensure fleet availability targets are achieved Drive continuous improvement across efficiency, quality, and team performance  What We’re Looking For form the Engineering Supervisor Proven experience as a Senior Technician / Chargehand / Supervisor Strong background working on buses, coaches, or HGVs NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Excellent leadership and team management skills Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability Knowledge of DVSA standards and compliance requirements Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced depot  What’s On Offer for the Engineering Supervisor Competitive salary with overtime opportunities Stable, long-term role with a major UK bus operator Modern depot with a well-maintained fleet Career progression opportunities into Engineering Management Ongoing training and developmentIf you’re an experienced Engineering Supervisor or a Senior Technician ready to step up, apply today with your CV or get in touch for more information
