We are currently looking for Engineering Managers in various locations within London. Candidate requirements: * City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs or a similar field * Car Driving licence * Strong knowledge of vehicle legislation * Supervisory/Managerial Experience within the Bus sector is essential Engineering Manager Main Duties: * Lead, motivate, and support a team of skilled engineering professionals * Ensuring the fleet of PSVs are maintained to DVSA standards * Ensure full compliance * Monitor and control departmental budgets and costs * Drive performance to minimise vehicle downtime and lost mileage * Conduct staff training, performance reviews, and development planning * Ensure compliance with statutory vehicle maintenance requirements and quality standards * Develop and implement engineering processes and continuous improvement initiatives * Manage subcontracted engineering work and contractor performance * Uphold a positive and proactive safety culture across the team About us: James Lewis is the market leader in supplying contract and permanent workforce solutions to the Automotive, Transport and Heavy Power industries, we provide both white and blue-collar personnel throughout the UK working with FTSE 100 companies and SME’s.
