Required Skills • Engineering degree (extensive work experience is to be considered as well) • Test boundary condition control and checking • Data consistency and repeatability checking • Knowledge and hands-on experience of using: ETAS INCA or alternative engine calibration tools and software • Experience of managing data • Use of suitable functional or analytical tools, MATLAB, Excel and hand calculations as appropriate • Good IT literacy skills Desirable Skills And Experience • Engine particulate emissions measurement • Combustion analysis • AVL Concerto (or similar) • Engine gas emissions testing About The Opportunity As a Powertrain Test Engineer, you will be conducting engine performance, emissions, development and durability projects for external customers. Key Responsibilities • Delivering of engine and/or powertrain component test programs for external clients • Interpreting customer test procedures and requirements • Writing tests (i.e. test stages or schedules) • Setting up alarm tables and shutdown limits • Writing clear and concise test instructions, End of Test reports • Daily status reporting, component failure reporting • Making sure facilities and test equipment meet customer requirements and are properly maintained and in calibration • Continually liaise with the customers and engineers, test technicians to ensure progress and direction are meeting customer satisfaction
