The company's ultra-high-performance, low-weight axial-flux motors and power electronics are not only smaller and lighter but also more robust and safer than competing technologies. They operate from a new 39,000 square foot facility in Oxfordshire, equipped with engineering labs, custom test and validation facilities, and the manufacturing capacity to produce up to 20,000 units per annum. The Opportunity: We are recruiting an Electrical Technician to support our clients continued rapid growth. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for electrical assembly, test, and inspection tasks within their manufacturing facility. Your work will align with product certification procedures, allocated budgets, and project timelines. Key Responsibilities: *Manufacture sub-assemblies and final assemblies to set requirements. *Develop and rework PCB and PCAs as needed. *Ensure electrical manufacturing build, inspection, and test times are met. *Follow manufacturing build plans to ensure target completion. *Conduct self-certification, inspection, and test procedures. *Maintain workmanship standards and product quality. *Ensure compliance with manufacturing process procedures. *Maintain product certification and approval through regular audits. *Assist Manufacturing Engineers in improving methods and procedures. *Ensure a safe working environment at all times. Skills and Experience Required: *City and Guilds, HNC, or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline. *Proven experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment, ideally in aerospace or automotive industries. *Experience in building harnesses. *Recognised mechanical and wiring assembly skills, including the use of soldering irons, multi meters, crimping tools, and basic hand tools. *Ability to carry out both repeat production and varied one-off tasks. *Ability to read and follow work instructions, mechanical drawings, electronic schematics, and wiring schedules. *Familiarity with lean manufacturing/process improvement tools and techniques. *Strong understanding of health and safety to ensure a safe working environment. *Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Outlook, and preferably a stock management system. *Strong communication and collaboration skills. *Results-oriented with attention to detail. *Flexible approach to work. *Strong team player, self-motivated with a can-do attitude. *Its highly desirable for the candidate to have Certification to J-STD-001 and IPC610.
