Job Title: Electrical Technician Salary: up to £35,000 per annum dependent upon experience Location: Saffron Walden, Essex An opportunity has become available to join an approved Part 145 MRO as an Electrical Workshop Technician at their site just outside of Saffron Walden, Essex. The company specialises in developing new repairs for aircraft components via Part 21J design and has a full range of C- ratings as well as a CAA BCAR approved aerospace welding workshop. They provide component repairs to a wide range of aircraft operators including Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, ATR and Bombardier. The company offers solutions on reliability problems, reducing delays, lowering operator and FHA providers stock holding requirements, associated administration and costs. The Electrical Technician will report into the Electrical & Avionics Team Leader and the primary purpose of the role will be to test, repair and overhaul a range of aircraft components in order to reduce costs and add value to our customers. This is a permanent position working Monday- Friday, 8.00am- 4.30pm. There is overtime available. Main Responsibilities: * Test, repair and Overhaul of Aircraft components, such as NAV lights, power supplies, ballast units, control units, VHF COMM panels, ovens and water boilers. * Work in accordance with technical publications such as CMMs & AMMs. * Fault find down to component level. * Correlate all work carried out in accordance with part 145 requirements. * Work to circuit diagrams and wiring diagrams * Adheres to all Company standard operating procedures * Adheres to all health and safety procedures * Meets workshop quality and housekeeping standards * Ensures all activity and works delivered meets the Company quality standards * Ensures all administration and systems inputs meets agreed standards Benefits: * Overtime paid at 1.5 times hourly rate * Annual Profit Share Scheme * 21 days holiday plus bank holidays * Company Pension * Health & Wellbeing Programme * Employee Assistance Programme * Training provided (nationally recognised) and career development opportunities * Company Uniform provided and all necessary PPE * Onsite, free parking * Onsite canteen About You: * Ideally, the successful candidate will be an experienced Electronics Technician with an aviation or similar engineering background. * You will also have an understanding of technical publications and knowledge of Commercial Aerospace working practices. * A recognised engineering qualification such as BTEC, BNC, ONC or HNC/HND is essential. * IT literate with the ability to use Word and Excel and a willingness to learn an industry software package (Aerotrac). * The individual will be a team player, willing to learn, disciplined, with an eye for detail and a self-starter.
