Our company, based in Milton Keynes, is currently seeking a diligent and experienced Electrical Product Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role entails contributing to the development of innovative battery packs for commercial vehicles. Role Overview: As the Electrical Product Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and release of electrical commodities and components across various battery programs. This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of on-site presence for an average of 2 days per week. Key Responsibilities: Own the design and release of electrical commodities and components. Implement iDFMEA, Commodity Design Validation Plan, and Engineering Specifications effectively. Develop and execute robust timing plans to achieve program milestones. Lead issue resolution and ensure all changes are implemented effectively. Collaborate with suppliers through design phases and procurement processes. Analyze and support technical requirements to meet customer needs. Contribute effectively to team goals and exhibit influence within the work group. Qualifications & Skills: Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Proficiency in complex Electrical Distribution and Electrical Automotive Systems (Battery advantage). Experience with 2D/3D CAD tools Design through to production program management experience. Expertise in specifying and designing automotive/battery pack low voltage, high voltage, and control hardware. Familiarity with BEV and PHEV battery system solutions and technologies. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team. Working knowledge of Problem Resolution Techniques. Excellent communication, self-motivation, and prioritization skills.
