Our client, a global market leader for intelligent technology solutions are looking to recruit an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Coventry. The ideal candidate will have experience designing electrical hardware systems and will be competent using ePLAN P8. Duties and Responsibilities: * Work well individually, alongside staff and external contractors in delivering the correct final solution, effectively and efficiently. * Understanding and support for determining controls architectures and topologies are fit for purpose, cost effective and technically advanced in conjunction with project managers, mechanical and controls engineering. * Understanding of customer scope, FDS/URS, controls brochures, content lists, mechanical and fluidic input data to determine the required electrical hardware solution. * Application of standards, end customers specifications and environmental considerations (IP, temp, parts, colours etc.) * Execute the detailed design of the electrical power, control and safety systems for machinery and automation processes including 2D/3D layouts, single line, multi line, networking, PLC overviews, reports and exports for parts/terminal rails/multicores. * Design packages and documentation for controlled ‘issue to manufacture’ phases for electrical sub assembly, control panel build, test and installations. * Strive for Right-First-Time design through diligence & focus, to minimize cost and rework through assembly, test, installation and commissioning. * Validate circuit application and integrity with Sistema to achieve required Performance Levels. * Complete the Functional Safety Matrix for hardware and software safety solutions. * Design conformance of load sizing and cable calculations for AC and DC circuits. Providing such data for machine service facility matrix. * Design conformance and validation according to EN (phone number removed) and LV/EMC standards. * Conduct hardware design and functionality reviews with internal and external customers at the necessary milestone stages. * BOM building and ERP management for structures, procurement and routings. * Support electrical production during build and commissioning. Document issues, capture redlining and provide countermeasures. * Support the training and development of engineers
