Our client, a leading supplier to the aerospace manufacturing sector, is looking to recruit an experienced EHS professional to drive a positive Health, Safety and Environmental culture across their manufacturing operation. The Role As the Environmental, Health & Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all HSE legislation, maintaining management systems and promoting best practice across the site. Working closely with managers and employees, you will lead initiatives that support continuous improvement. Responsibilities Promote a positive HSE culture ensuring compliance with current legislation Maintain and develop HSE policies and procedures Carry out workplace inspections, audits and compliance monitoring. Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, produce reports and implement corrective actions. Conduct Risk and COSHH assessments and support departments in reducing workplace risks. Coordinate emergency response plans, fire safety procedures and evacuation drills. Chair Health & Safety committee meetings and promote continuous improvement initiatives. Deliver Health & Safety inductions and refresher training for employees. Produce HSE reports, KPIs and statistics for management and regulatory bodies. Liaise with regulatory authorities, insurers and external contractors.Skills & Experience Previous experience as an Environmental Health & Safety Officer, HSE Officer, Health & Safety Advisor, EHS Advisor or similar. Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, automotive, aerospace or industrial environment. Up-to-date knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation. Strong experience carrying out risk assessments, accident investigations and compliance audits. NEBOSH General Certificate (or currently working towards) is desirable. Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 management systems would be advantageous.
