Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role: EDS Lead Engineer - £32/hr (Inside IR35) Hybrid / Coventry 9 Months (potential to extend) Division: Electrical Engineering Position Description: The EDS Lead Engineer will be technically capable and an inquisitive Engineer, able to lead the project delivery team within EDS design and development on MLA platform during launch phase (TT, PP) from Project creation, through component data integration, 3D CAD design, 2D drawing creation, complexity generation and component release and delivery, utilising many of the key EDS industry toolsets and techniques. This role will cover both low and high voltage EDS systems. Skills Required: - AIMs - Change control - Autonomous working Experience Required: - Must be able to clearly and logically articulate technical details and issues to a broad range of individuals and teams with varying levels of EDS understanding, in order to engage co-operation in develop truly integrated and efficient solutions. - Must be resilient and able to manage difficult and challenging situations in order to ensure the delivery of efficient, integrated and robust EDS solutions with the client's products. - Must be able to demonstrate a level of technical leadership within your previous area of work. - Must be computer literate and easily adapt to company specific systems (previous knowledge in WERS, AIMS, JIRA Tickets, RMDV, ECR's would be a benefit but not essential as training can be provided). - Detailed awareness of connector systems and harness components. - Detailed awareness of fuse box design would be an advantage. - Experience on tooled component design, such as harness formers and components. - Understanding and experience in the development and deployment of EDS quality tools and standards. - A background in Automotive Engineering design, development and delivery. - Experience and knowledge of EDS durability and validation testing. - Experience and knowledge of EDS manufacturing and future EDS manufacturing technology. - Experience with the following tools preferred: 3D experience, CATIA, Team Centre, DT Database, ECRM (change control manager), Digital Buck, ERP (circuit design portal) Additional Information: This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35. Hybrid working is available for this role with support required in Ryton-on-Dunsmore, Warwickshire.
