Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role: Durability & Robustness Programme Leader - £34/hr (Inside IR35) - Warwickshire / Hybrid potential (8 Months (potential for yearly renewal) Duties: This role is within the Durability & Robustness attribute which is part of the wider Driven Attribute Integration organisation. The Programme leader role is to ensure all customer expectations for Durability & Robustness are met with appropriate target setting, design development and completion of whole vehicle verification activities using both virtual and physical test methods. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities - Support delivery of all Attribute Requirement targets by Gateway - Support the Programme Attribute Team to ensure all technical issues are identified and resolved - Detailed strategy & delivery planning for the attribute covering CAE, Road Load Data, Vehicle and System rig tests & driven vehicle DV activities - Working with system and component areas to define and maintain cascaded target requirements in support of overall vehicle level targets - Work with component engineers and suppliers as required to drive resolution of engineering issues - Deliver technical recommendations and test and issue status reports - Work on tasks to ensure all lessons learnt from the current vehicle are captured and fed back to the Programme Attribute Team and progressed as necessary Skills: - Knowledge/experience of automotive engineering test activities - Knowledge/experience of automotive technologies or systems - Project Management experience within the automotive sector Education: - Broad knowledge of vehicle technologies - Understanding of Durability & Strength principles - Project management of complex engineering test activities - Experience of problem-solving including application of Root Cause Analysis, 8D, DoE etc. - Understanding of Systems engineering principles and delivery - Microsoft package elements Power Point and Excel Desirable: - Knowledge/Experience of AGILE working principles - Working knowledge CAD visualisation systems (e.g. 3Dx, TeamCentre etc.) - Knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and cross functional experience - Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred Additional information: This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35.
