Adecco Recruitment are currently seeking a Development Engineer to join of one of our well-known Aerospace clients based in Wolverhampton. Our client is a multi-award-winning business that are growing at a rapid speed. Job Opportunity: Development Engineer Hours: 37 hours per week Location: Wolverhampton Duration: 6 months Pay: £45 - £50ph Umbrella Role Summary: Are you a skilled Development Engineer ready to make a significant impact? Join our client as a key contributor in generating Verification test evidence, ensuring compliance with customer requirements. You'll spearhead planning and execution of readiness activities and Qualification testing, utilising your technical prowess and organisational finesse. Your dedication to quality and adherence to procedures will be pivotal in this role. Key Responsibilities: Ensure EH&S compliance throughout development processes. Translate customer requirements into test definitions and formal Qualification Test Procedures. Develop test equipment definitions and manage external test facilities. Set up tests, assemble units, and conduct Qualification testing, meticulously recording data. Analyse and interpret test data, maintaining high standards of housekeeping. Present results effectively through clear communication. Generate and issue Qualification/Development documentation. Coordinate off-site testing, including transportation and assembly of support equipment. Conduct Function/Acceptance tests of Development units. Skills & Experience: Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred, with relevant experience. - Desirable Demonstrated integrity and ability to work autonomously under pressure. Logical problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities. Proficiency in general PC software (e.g., Windows, MS Office). Commitment to process compliance and occasional travel (5%). Essential Requirements: Experience in Mechanical/Hydraulic and Environmental testing. Proficiency in test execution documentation and data analysis. Familiarity with failure investigation and report writing. Desirable Skills: Rig software knowledge (e.g., LabVIEW, Diadem). Electrical testing experience (Bonding, EMC). Expertise in Test Rig specification/commissioning. Familiarity with Non-Standard Test methodology and Process improvement Join us in driving innovation and excellence in development engineering.
