Development Engineer – EV Battery, Automotive, Northamptonshire, £40,000 circa + Benefits Unknown Resourcing are currently seeking an experienced Development Engineer to join our lead Automotive client based in Northamptonshire. This is an exciting opportunity working as a Development Engineer on cutting edge technology in electrification projects in future transportation. Development Engineer – Responsibilities: Deliver engineering objectives set by the Engineering Manager, Principle/Senior Engineer and/or specific engineering Project Leader, working either individually or as part of a project team Deliver test objectives outlined in the Projects Provide regular feedback and report as necessary to keep department management fully informed of project status 3 or more years of relevant experience within the Marine/Motorsport/Automotive industry High competency of electrical standard in HV and LV assemblies Be able to read and understand electrical/mechanical architecture diagrams Become an expert in HV and LV vehicle battery architectures for prototype and production with the ability to critique and assist others to develop their own understanding Become a Senior Authorised Person within our safety management structure Work directly with the other members of the development and test team along with engineering and production teams to develop prototype and production high performance battery solutions Test plan definition and reviews Test equipment setup and operation Developing processes and workflows to ensure correct levels of validation and reporting are maintained Management and processing of data from the test facility internal and externally. Liaising with key project stakeholders for test definitions Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities. Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice. Development Engineer – Requirements: Highly self-motivated and able to plan and work autonomously where needed Passion for electric vehicle powertrain technology Attention to detail Willing to be flexible with working hours to suit testing requirements Experience with Microsoft Office packages Full UK driving license Knowledge of CAN protocols and architecture Experience with Canalyser or similar CAN analysis tools Have a passion for engineering and problem solving.
