We are pleased to be working with a Motor Engineering serviced company based in Ipswich who are looking for a Desktop Engineer to join their growing business. You will report to the Engineering Director and be expected to undertake your day-to-day duties to a high standard as well as being flexible and motivated to support the business’s needs. Key Duties: * Review and deal with queries and new work through the engineering mailbox. * First point of contact to review files, notes and job cards to establish the best course of action. * Instruct physical inspections accurately as well as quality checking. * Handling own allocation of engineering work and reviewing images at desktop. * Process work within agreed timescales and adhere to all contractual and procedural guidelines. Previous Skills & Experience: * Some level if industry knowledge and experience in repairing motor vehicles. * Previous estimating and or engineering experience (preferred). * Good written communication, including spelling and grammar. * Good numeracy skills. * Some level of Body shop experience.
