From supporting new product development to helping improve manufacturing processes and supporting the assembly line, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and ownership. You’ll be involved in the design and development of mechanical and electrical assemblies, working with moulded GRP components, supporting prototyping, testing (including on-water!), and playing a key role in evolving world-class products. 🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing within the Design Engineer job: * Designing mechanical/electrical assemblies, GRP structures, and fabricated components * Assisting in product R&D from concept to pre-production * Supporting the production and sales teams with technical queries * Managing BOMs, producing detailed 3D CAD designs and technical drawings * Liaising with suppliers and participating in on-water product testing * Providing creative engineering solutions to support continuous improvement 🎓 Skills & Experience required for the Design Engineer job: * Degree-qualified with 5+ years’ experience in a Design Engineering role * Strong 3D CAD skills (preferably Siemens NX) * Experience with mechanical systems, drivetrains, and fabricated components (steel, aluminium, plastic) * Understanding of moulded parts and tooling (laminate schedules a bonus!) * Knowledge of fluid and/or electrical systems is advantageous * A hands-on, solutions-focused mindset and ideally, experience in the marine or automotive sector * This is a fantastic opportunity to join and exciting client who have a great working culture, strong project pipeline, and the chance to get involved in some seriously cool tech and the chance for real progression potential.
